Document template translation

What is a Translation template used for?

A Translation-type document template is used to translate a main document.

This type of document is used when you need a document template in multiple languages. The user will be able to choose from several language options.

Create the translation-type document template
  • First, you need to create and configure the main document template
  • In the Doc tab of the main document template, click “New Translation” in the Translation component
  • Give the template a name
  • Choose the desired language
  • Enter a prefix and a suffix to the name of the file that will be generated in this language
  • Save to be redirected to the created document template.
  • Upload the translated document and verify that all indicators are green.
  • You will then be able to view all translation templates for the main template.
Generating the translation template
  • The document template that will appear in the generation component will be the one that corresponds to the user's language.

    For example
If the user has their Salesforce language set to English, the English translation template will be generated.

  • If you want to let users choose the generation language, check the “Allow user to choose language” box in the “Language & Translation” section of the main template configuration
  • There will thus be the possibility to choose the language in the generation component

Note
Language management only controls the standard generation component. If generation is performed via a flow, you must manage the retrieval of the desired templates within that flow.
