Basic usage


The Gonexa App brings together all the important information and features, simplifying the steps of configuration, installation, and deployment.

Environment Management

This first step will guide you through the steps of installing our generation solution.

Prerequisites

BEFORE STARTING
  • Have already created an App account

Connect Salesforce environments to the App

You can connect Sandbox environments and a Salesforce Production environment to your App account.

Connecting Production

To connect a Salesforce Production in the App:

  • Go to the “Environments” section
  • Click on the “Connect my production” button
  • You are then redirected to the Salesforce login page
  • Fill in the username and password for your Production then click on Authorize.

⚠️ Once the production is connected, it cannot be removed from the App.
For consultants working with a variety of customers, it's critical to ensure that each production is properly linked to the appropriate App account.

Connect a Sandbox

To connect a Salesforce Sandbox to the App:

  • Go to the “Environments” section
  • Click on “Connect a sandbox”
  • You are then redirected to the Salesforce login page
  • Enter your Sandbox username and password, then click Allow.

You can connect as many sandboxes as you want. A status indicates whether the sandbox is well connected and secure.

Access the details of an environment

Manage your environments and associated users from the App
In the list of environments in the App, you have an overview of the status of each environment

User Management
  • On the page of each environment, you can consult the list of users and their connection status, indicating whether they are connected or not
The environment is set up correctly
  • A green status indicates that the connection to the environment is valid
Action is required
  • Click on the environment concerned
  • A status will let you know that action is required
  • An alert will detail the error encountered, in particular if a reconnection of the environment to the App is necessary
  • Click on “Connect” and fill in your Salesforce credentials to re-establish the connection

Update the package

For each environment, you can view the currently installed version and update the package directly from the App.

  • Click on the environment you want to update
  • Click on the “Update Package” button
  • A popup is displayed, showing the list of versions available for installation
  • Choose the version you want and click Continue
  • You will then be taken to the package update page in your Salesforce environment
