Configuring WebDoc interactions

Retrieve the data entered at the time of signing to insert it into Salesforce fields

Prerequisites

BEFORE STARTING

⚠️ Be sure to contact support if the licenses are not active for your environment.

  • Have installed and configured Gonexa WebDoc
  • Have created a Gonexa Doc document template
  • Update the package to the latest version

Configuring a file to collect

After creating a document template with Gonexa Doc, adding a recipient, and inserting a signature location.

  • Go to the WebDoc tab, then to the “Files to collect” component
  • Click on New, fill in the expected file type, for example RIB
  • Select the recipient who should provide this file
  • Indicate if it is mandatory
  • Find the record you want to link this file to.
    For example, if the generation context is an Opportunity, you can select “Account.Id”, to link the RIB to the opportunity account.
  • Check the “Change the name of the uploaded file” box if you want to apply a default name to the collected file.
    You will then be able to define a prefix and a suffix to the file. For example, the RIB prefix and the Opportunity Name as a suffix.


At the time of signing the document, the signatory is invited to provide the requested files
Once the files are added, the signatory can proceed to sign the document.

💡 You can drop the associated Files list on the Lightning page of the “Recipient” object to view the files collected from each signatory
