# Grant access to users and administrators

Gonexa provides two levels of permissions

* The **Gonexa Doc User Permission Set,** which allows the user to generate documents
* The **Gonexa Doc Admin Permission Set**, which allows the user to generate documents and access document template administration

## Assign the Admin or User permission set

* From the App Launcher, open the "Gonexa Administration" tab
* From the "Give access to users" row, click "Administrator" or "User" to assign the appropriate access to each person.

![Giving access to users](https://4198981723-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTYUzkIngX1MnHE8kOJDR%2Fuploads%2Fx4yGnGnMkzl3yEzgTC4O%2Finstallation-gonexa-3.png?alt=media)

* Then click "Manage Assignments"
* Click "Add Assignment"
* Select the user to assign the permission set to and click Next to finish.

Remember to assign the Administrator permission set to yourself and to the users who will configure document templates.

## Document Template object sharing settings

Sharing settings on an object determine who can access which data. By default, the sharing setting of the Document Template object is Private, which means some of your users will not be able to access it or generate documents.

### Change the object visibility to Public Read Only \[Recommended]

* In Salesforce Setup, search for "Sharing Settings"
* Click Edit
* Find the "Document Template" object
* Change the default internal access to "Public Read Only"
  {% endtab %}

{% tab title="Option 2: Create a sharing rule" %}

### Create sharing rules based on your business rules

* In Salesforce Setup, search for "Sharing Settings"
* Click New in the "Sharing Rules" related list (further down the page)
* Define the appropriate rules
  {% endtab %}
  {% endtabs %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://university.gonexa.fr/doc/en/getting-started/install-gonexa/grant-user-and-admin-access.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
